one of my favorite women in history.
Anne Frank didn't pave a new way for anyone, or start a movement, or even invent anything.
her and her family were jews living in Germany during the holocaust.
The reason her story is so amazing ,along with SO VERY MANY OTHERS, is her and her family lived in hiding for a good 6 years before they were captured. Hitler started the first cosentration camp in 1938, Anne Frank and her family were arrested in the I'm pretty sure 1943 or 44.They had a hidden apartment on top of a bussiness. A soldier saw some one in the window one day, so the Nazi's barged in, and arrested the entire family, including Anne Frank.
The only reason why she was taken captive is because she was Jewish. That is the ONLY reason.
In the camps, (anne already was pretty sickly before being captured) she buncked with I believe it was her brother.
She died the night before the russians reached the camps to release the jews, hours to freedom, and her life was ended.
Anne Frank was beautiful, wise and intellegant,
she often gave advise to her own father. She was strong and very compasionate. For all the hatred she hasd seen she begged her family before she died to not hate any of the Nazi's.
Read the Diary of anne frank, there also is a movie called the diary of anne frank.
There is another good book called "The Cage" another inspireing moving holocaust storie.

You've got to be kidding, right? What was special about her...wow, well she was wise beyond her age. She was in the midst of atrocities and still saw the beauty of the world. I would suggest reading The Diary of Anne Frank sometime. Yes, it was her real diary. But if you want a quick answer, google her. Special she was, indeed.

She is famous for writing her diary when she was in hiding from the Nazis for two years with her family. It was so well written and so poignant. She expressed so much hope and spirit at a time when there was so much fear, sadness and horror affecting her life. Read her diary and see for yourself.
