I love reading scary/supernatural/ghostly books, but they are hard to find (quality ones)

Any suggestions?

I dont like monsters or crime/mystery or magic or total "out-there" fantasy...just a good old ghost story...like "the witching hour" by anne rice.

It's a little fantasy but not way out there.
The Haunting of Alazabel Cray. by Tim Wooding
It was so creepy. It's about a deadly Cult, A teenage monster hunter, Monsters that eat babies and steal peoples souls right out of their living body, A sacraficial girl, A Serial killer that hunts down women on the street called Stitch-Face, Two Horrors that will follow you and kill you if you look back three times, and a massive conspiracy to use Monsters and Demons to rule the world!
It was the one and only book that I was up at two in the morning reading because I was so engrossed in the story that it was impossable to put it down and I was afraid to stop and go to sleep because I was afraid Stitch-Face would appear in my room and carve his name in my chest!
It gave me nightmares for a week after finnishing it but it was so good that i'm reading it again even though it was terrifing! I loved it!
The book sucks you in, swishes you around, chews on your bones, spits you out and then invites you in for more!

properly, i'd not flow so a strategies as to say that it really is a "horror" tale, notwithstanding it really is amazingly worrying. and also you should locate that "horror thoughts" are literally not the purely element that you want. you should like thrillers. 1984, through Orwell, is about vast Brother Goverment that controls the inhabitants to the concept it really is even ulawful to imagine. that is an outstanding examine and that's quite creepy. I have under no circumstances in the previous heard of each person who has examine it who hasn't walked away questioning that this replaced into an outstanding e book. Stephen King and Ann Rice novels are scary.
