Tori Amos has done a live cover of it on one of her single eps, but that was a while ago.

Well, Me First & The Gimme Gimmes did a punk rock cover of it a few years ago. They are an all-star punk band featuring members of NOFX, Lagwagon, Swingin' Utters, and Foo Fighters. They did a whole CD in 1999 where they did punk rock covers of popular songs from movies. It's way better than anything Katherine McPhee ever did, although I must say that she is much better to look at.

Hello, The best version I have ever heard is on the end credits of 'Joe Black' which is an Antony Hopkins film. Its a man singing it and its mixed with ' its a wonderful world'. Essex Jock if you get a chance to listen to this version do so. It's a very touching song. Other than that the best version i have ever heard is the Eva Casidy version. She had a lovely voice and it makes you very teary eyed to listen to it. xx

Is it Katharine McPhee from American Idol last season? I know that she did it on the show, but I have not heard anything on the radio.

Katharine McPhee
So took the style quite liberally from another artist named Eva Cassidy, who died a few years ago.
