However US Flag Code is merely a suggestion, and is not legally binding.
You have a constitutional right to display the flag in ANY manner -- respectful or not.

Flags no longer recommend what they as quickly as did, whilst they have been carried into conflict alongside with the flag of the Church. the U. S. won't in any respect recover from the unfastened speach and the filthy speach campaigns of the Sixties. Nor will the anti-flag burners (as I shall call them) have the skill to resuscitate the honour for ONE flag whilst right this moment this way of extensive share of voters are twin (or triple; and BTW my daughter born in Belfast has 4) nationals. I consistently ask people who subject too plenty approximately maltreatment of the flag regardless of if or no longer they might merchandise to disrespect to a Liberian flag if the single action picture star became burned first and in the event that they could no longer count variety that there have been purely 11 stripes . . . admire is one ingredient. Hysteria is yet another. do no longer make the youngsters of distant places diplomats in American faculties salute the U. S. flag.
