There are three possible problems:
The power source - Probably not the problem
The transformer - the tree almost certainly has a transformer to step the power down from 120v (if you're in the US) to 12v(or 6v? - you need to check instructions and labels to determine the voltage requirements). Assuming two trees, this is also probably not the problem.
The bulbs. Most likely the problem. Assuming you've gone back to walmart and are unsatisfied with their response, you can do an online search. If the bulb looks like a little satelite dish, you have a MR (metallic reflector). It might be an MR11 (approximately 1 1/2 inches diameter) or an MR16 (approximately 2 inches in diameter). When you're determined whether the tree takes 120 volts, 12 volts, or 6 volts, go online and search for <12v 20w mr11> (plug in the right numbers for your tree). Chances are good that you'll come up with a number of hits. Or you can go contact me at and I'll try to help you.

Call walmart they are a good company and I know they will help you. Ask to speak to a Manager. They are usually pretty good, if you recieve no help, call the BBB (Better Business Bureau). I dont' think you will have that problem though :)
