Do you vote for your party regardless of ANYTHING or is there something that would cause you to change your vote?

Wisconsin voted for a very corrupt Govenor because he is a Democrat. A very good man ran against him. There is a grand jury investigation going on and members of his staff are going to prison. He may not even finish his term. YET - Liberals voted for him...

I vote for whomever is most conservative (believes in the Constitution as written and freedom). That is usually the Republican. However, I have voted for Democrats when they are more conservative than their Republican opponent (very rare, but it happens).

If I believe the democratic party candidate is corrupt I will automatically vote for someone else, but usually a third party candidate instead. If I see no significant difference between the positions of the Democratic and Republican candidates or I'm particularly bothered by the stances a democratic candidate has taken I will also probably vote for a third party candidate.

The situation hasn't come up where a Republican in my voting district has taken positions that close enough to what I believe or has shown himself to be a significantly better candidate for me to vote for him over a democratic candidate.

A terrible candidate would prevent me from doing so. I do not support corrupt politics, mean politicians, slimebags or con-artists, or pols who flood my TV with lies and smears about their opponents.

That's why the Libertarians got a number of my votes last election.

I'm a left leaning registered American Independent who voted for a Republican governor. Voting a blind party ticket is silly.

If the candidate of my party is a corrupt person. Then I wouldn't vote for that person.

I wouldn't vote for a party regardless of anything. The situation you speak of is bizarre. And people wonder why we have crooks as politicians. Here is one example of why.

Are you serious?

I have seen you defend Republicans like crazy.A month ago you said something like:

"Republican values blah blah blah
Democrats no values blah blah blah".

It's your opinion and your entitled to it,but in 2006 the Republicans DID have the market cornered on corruption.

Yes I as a Democrat have voted for a Republican once or twice.
