Oh my gosh! What a jerk...And I thought I had problems. If I were you I would pack my bags so fast and get out of there! He is either the stupidest man on earth or else he is trying to run you off. No self respecting woman should allow herself to be spoken to in that manner.
My heart goes out to you!

The interaction between your boyfriend and another girl is eating you up, and you told him about it and he defended the behavior. Someone who loves you will not persist in a relationship that is upsetting to you. He has a right to have friends, but a guy who loves you shouldn't have a need to "cope" by calling a "young, cute girl" "Babe" and IMing all night. It's disrespectful to you for him to act this way with another girl. You need to be more firm about telling him that it really bothers you. Don't yell or start a fight, just tell him that this extracurricular relationship upsets you and ask him to stop. Tell him that you want to be the one to help him cope; assure him that you care about him and that YOU are the one who is there in his life to support him. Invite and encourage him to open up to you about his work stresses and let you be there for him. If he argues, won't stop talking to the other girl (or change the relationship) and does not respect your feelings, time to kick him to the curb. A man that persists in doing something that upsets you that much and that disrespects you is not one you need to keep in your life.

He's an insensitive jerk. Tell him to start paying attention to his gf instead of his 'fantasy'. If he refuses, get rid of him. Anyone who can make insensitive comments about a person needs some lessons in etiquette.

"Danger, Will Robinson. Danger!" Don't buy what he is saying. My ex-husband had an on-line affair that I was naive about. If you have to wonder about it, trust in the red flags you are seeing. Time for one of you to split the scene.

but why did he get involved in you if he wasn't attracted to you in the first place? Thats BS and you need to get rid of this loser. He's not worth it. I know you care for him but you need someone who will respect and value your beauty.
