I would not want Norton at all. I had this and It never did me any good. It seems Norton planted every virus imaginable on my computer. Although this may not be true my computer was very slow and I had a lot of problems. I think I had more pop-ups with it then without Norton. So I had to delete this thing from my computer and weather bug also. I like Hijackthis, spybot, ad-aware, and avast. These are the best four.

Norton is an effectual answer, basically element is on 2006 now - which I even have (and it rather is going to be on the 2007) they have included some thing called norton risk-free practices centre that's style of a huge popup window that comes up with a huge green tick if each thing is working or a terrible crimson flow if not. thankfully you may change it off interior the administration panel. choose for it regardless of the undeniable fact that!

Yes. But deleting is not the right way.You need to uninstall it.
There are three ways to uninstall/remove a program.
1) Stop the program by right clicking on the icon in the taskbar and then try to uninstall in add/remove program.
2) Boot your computer in safe mode by pressing F8 and selecting safe mode from the menu while restarting , then follow step 1.
3)Remove the program from startup menu as follows
(start > run > type msconfig
press ok. Click on startup, uncheck Norton and Symantec from the list. click on apply. click on ok. press restart. Check the window that appears after restart, press ok)
Then go to control panel > add/remove program to uninstall.

if you are installing a upgrade (not full version) of 2007 yes than uninstall the 2005.
its best to have the 2005 uninstalled anyway when installing a newer version

You don't have to, but since it is a new version of 2007 for which you have the passcode, why not. That way your installation will be clean and the likelihood of problems will be diminished

The installer should do it for you. If not, it should tell you that you need to go back and uninstall. If you find that both are on your start menu, go ahead and delete/uninstall 2005.

pretty sure you do but when i deleted Norton for an upgrade i was surprised how much faster my computer ran. Norton may be thorough but its processing is ridiculously slow.

Yes, otherwise it will lead to malfunction from the upgrade version, but don't worry once you install '07 it will automatically kick '05 a.s.s.
