Do you REALLY care about your points or are you just here to socialize?

Question

Sometimes I answer serious questions with serious answers. Sometimes I answer the dingy questions as smarta$$ as possible. Just for laughs. I come from a family of smarty pants, just can't help myself. To answer my own question - No I don't care about the points-but I do l like getting picked as 'Best Answer'.

To tell you the truth, I dont really understand the points system. Majority of the time, I get on just to see who can come up with clever questions to answer, like yours. I really do enjoy you guys. Whether the question or answers are dumb, or not. This is a great way to pass some of your time doing the day. Great Question. Even though there is not points given out, you receive best question from me. Congratulations 10 points!

No, I really don't pay much attention to my points. I think it's nice when I'm picked for best answer, but it's not because of the points. And every once in a while, especially when it's a serious subject, I feel good knowing that I might have made a small difference to someone. I also enjoy the people that have left comments for me saying they support my husband because he's in the Military and thank me for standing behind him...Sometimes nice words from a stranger is even more meaningful then people realize!
I do tend to go off on people that are rude on here, but that's my nature. I don't think it's ok to be mean to people for no good reason, so I will go off on those that are just @sses! It's not usually in this section. I find people in polls & surveys pretty nice.

I don't care aboout points, except when I first started and couldn't rate stuff. Now I just like to see if I can help people who ask serious questions and get a good laugh out of the silly questions that I can make up stupid answers for. I really like to get Best Answer. It's the only thing points related that I care about. I like being the best at something even if it's just answering a question.

I agree with you because if you give a sensible answer to someone maybe they will too. Suppose I gave you a really lame answer, you would really be disappointed right? That's why I give out sensible answers so I get the same kinda reply. I love Yahoo! Answers because I love to give advice. What goes around come around.........On the other hand it depends on the question. If it's silly why not give an even sillier answer. Whereas the questions where people really want a good detailed answer, you should give them what they want. It all depends on what you think is right and what you think the other person will think of your answer. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading this!

I should be here to socialize but I want to get as many points as I can. I am not competing against any one else but I do want to get to level 7. Even though I want a lot of points I only answer questions I think I have a good answer for. I don't do point gaming and who doesn't like getting best answers.

I don't care a whole lot about the points, but I do some. I definitely do like getting picked as Best Answer. I mainly come here to entertain myself.

I dont care about the points either but being picked for best answer is always good. I mostly come on answers because Im bored, not really to socialize

Definitely don't care about the points, they don't get you anything anyway. I can't imagine caring about them, I just like to help people if I can. There is nothing wrong with being a smarty pants, just have to know when to use it.

I really dont care about the points. I think its a lot of fun to be here. But like you I do care about the Best Answers, its fun when you get one of those too!
