I like it! I think Julian is a great name, just be sure to pair it with a masculine middle name. My daughter has a boys name and I paired it with a really girlie middle name and it works great. The other thing with a name like Julian is a short middle name, so that it isn't too much of a mouth full. One more thought, give him a middle name that would work as a first name, so that if he doesn't like Julian growing up he can use his middle. Or something like Julian David so he could go by JD or Julian Paul and he could use JP! Just some thoughts! :)

i love the name Julian for a little boy! Its so cute! I used to babysit a toddler called julian and he was just beautiful!! Such a great personality, so happy. They reckon your name can influence that too so i think youve made a good choice. I dont like the name ray though it kinda takes the cute away from the name julian,... what about Julian Noah or something........??

I like Julian, but I don't care for Ray. But if you like it I would use it anyways. He will be your son after all you can name him whatever you want.
I don't think of Julian as a girls name or a sissy name like some other people have stated. It is a CLASSIC male name.
Here is some information on the name Julian:
From http://www.parenting.com/parenting/pregnancy/tools/babynamer/results/0,20081,JULIAN__M,00.html,00.html
JULIAN. Because of the ways it's been used in literature, this beautiful name projects a somewhat pale, sensitive image, and it does, indeed, come from the Greek word meaning "soft and fair-complexioned." More common in Britain, where it is definitely upper-crust, Julian is starting to be appreciated here. It was, for many centuries, used for women as well as men. St. Julian the Hospitaler is the patron saint of innkeepers, travelers, and boatmen. Other links to recognition: singer Julian (actually John Charles Julian) Lennon, actor Julian Sands, Black activist and politician Julian Bond, the great jazz alto saxophonist Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, the hero of Stendhal's The Red and the Black, and the lost soul character in Less Than Zero. The French spelling is JULIEN.

Julian is a bit of a sissy man if you ask me. He'll just get called Julie or Jewels for short. Sorry...

Personally, I don't care for it, but that's just my opinion. If you really like it, use it, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
