Ask them. Do you have a reason to think that they were married before? If not, then why worry. if you have a real reason to think so, then you can do a public records search. There are services that you can pay a fee and they will do a public records search on that person. Or you find out where they have lived and call the county office or go to their website and see if you can find a marriage license for them. A birthday and SSN will help you a great deal in this search.
Good luck

Did you take shorthand in school? First of all you have to know the other name, county and state. But then, how would you know it was them? You have to have a birth certificate to get married, don't you? I did, but that's been years ago. Hopefully this is a bullsh*t question and you are not really married to someone that has been married before under a different name. Of course you could be a man, then that would be different. But surely if your spouse has been married before, they would have told you. If not, you have serious problems that you are not going to find the answers here. You could always hire a P.I.

Well obviously something happened to give you these suspicions. Do you know about any aliases he's used before? If you do it should be a matter of public record, If you have the full name he might have used and probably his date of birth call hall of records and ask for the marriage license dept. Good luck whatever you find out.
