I'm not talking about someone you meet at work and get pally with - I'm talking about a completley new person in your life?
I have plenty of freinds - but don't you find that as you get older it gets harder to make new mates?

I agree with you. It was very easy to make friends until I graduated from college. As an adult, I just don't meet anyone that I have an instant rapport with. It's not hard to be friendly with someone you work with but it's not the same as real friends.

The last friends I made were coworkers. When your younger you end up making friends with people in school. That is where your opportunities to make friends come from. As we get older though we have to find new ways to do this. I would suggest getting involved in things you are interested in. Find an outlet for those interest and in doing that you will meet people with similarities. Good Luck!

My newest friend is called Viz and she is a chocolate labrador that I am hoping to adopt very soon. She is just the best, and has had a very hard life as a breeding dog in a puppy farm.

The last friend I made was my hsuband's friends family. The wife, the sisters, the whole family.

yeah it really is, you get stuck in a rut and don't make an effort either.
i think trying soemthing new, getting to meet new people is a good start - i just went back to uni and you meet people alot, it's up to you to make an effort...

in 2001, and the guy rocks, he's one of my closest friends and we help each other out with things as we tend to go through similar problems at similar times in our lives and i couldn't ask for a nicer friend than him and another friend of mine who was there for me at a time in my life when i felt helpless, both friends are guy's and one of them is gay, (not a problem to me though) and both are my best friends.

i made a friend yesterday while shopping. He spoke 2 me n my m8 while we were walkin past n then we got talkin n made friends!!
