7(4w - 3) - 25w = 0

28w - 21 - 25 = 0

3w - 21 = 0

3w - 21 + 21 = 0 + 21

3w = 21

3w/3 = 21/3

w = 7

The answer is w = 7

Insert the w value into the equation

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Check

7(4w- 3) - 25w = 0

7[4(7) - 3] - 25(7) = 0

7[28- 3] - 175 = 0

7[25] - 175 = 0

175 - 175 = 0

0 = 0

The distributive property is when you take what is outside the parentheses and multiply it by everything inside the parentheses. 7(4w - 3) - 25w 7(4w) - 7(3) - 25w 28w - 21 - 25 w 3w - 21 Hope that helps!

first the parenthesis
7(4w-3)-25w=?
multiply 7 by both terms in the parenthesis
7*4w= 28w
7*3= 21
so now we have
28w-21-25w=?
so combine the like terms (the ones with w)
28w-25w= 3w
so now we have
3w-21=? (simplified)
