A CD is a form of floppy disk so I will assume that you mean 3.5 inch... just copy and paste, but a whole CD won't fit on a 3.5... if you are talking about a music CD then you will want to "rip" the files first and you best bet is to download windows media player for that and just store the music on your hard drive.

To help you, it would be very valuable for us to know what the model number of your keyboard is.

One of the Yamaha keyboards has a slot for a CD-ROM that comes with the keyboard. It has a bunch of songs. Although they don't say what format the songs are in, it is possible that they are in MIDI (or SMF) format

MIDI is a very compact format that keyboards and computers can use to generate music using the built-in sound generation. It is a bit like you being able to play really well. However, if you want to play your MP3 files using your keyboard, it might not work. That would depend on how the keyboard is set up. Again, tough to advise without the model number.

There is a model that has a floppy drive that will read floppies with SMF (standard MIDI file) files. That might be the one you have. If so, don't expect to be able to play MP3 files.

I've listed the Yamaha site and also the wikipedia site with more than you want to know about MIDI (and SMF format) in hopes they will be useful to you.

Good luck!
