It's unfair. People blame the general of the army when it loses in battle, fair or not.

He's just a part of the problem. Their wide receivers, save Crumpler are dreadful. Denver was all too happy to trade Lelie for Javon Walker.

The O-line has fallen apart. Some of it is scheme, and some of it is personnel, but they can't run-block or pass-lock very well right now.

Forcing some version of the West Coast offense is doomed to fail. They don't play enough to his strengths. This is a coaching problem.

The defense is crippled by injuries. I mean, wow. How many guys can one team lose on one side of the ball.

Last, he's not great at reading defenses. Defenses are picking on his tendencies.

Comes with the territory as a qb. I'm from chicago and grossman is the man who is blamed for losses. recievers handle the ball maybe 8 plays tops in a game qbs, about 80 plays, usally when teams offenses are struggling its the qbs fault not always obviously but usually they are the problem. Check out dallas with bledsoe gettin yanked, now they look like a top 2 nfc team. I'd give shaub a chance. He's probably the best backup in the league at the qb spot. Vick is the best athlete in the nfl possibly but he hasnt developed into a top quarterback. I think he's the most overrated player in the nfl.

It comes with the title. QB's must take the good and the bad. That is what being a QB is all about. No different than Ben getting the blame for Pittsburgh. It is even his fault, when the O-line lets him get sacked or the receiver tips the ball to a defender. Most people just point at the leader.

He is the quarterback. The wins and losses ultimately get tied to his position. They say trade him because he is not a consistently accurate passer. I think he is a great player but will never win a super bowl. His game is flawed. It would take a lot better supporting cast for him to accomplish anything. To win in the NFL you have to be abe to get the ball to playmakers and then they have to make plays offensively. On defense you have to be consistent. His team has done neither this year.

because he's a QB. When a team wins, the QB gets all the credit, when they loose -- all the blame.

People ignore the people catching the ball (unless they're good), O-lines, etc.

Quarterback is such a high-profile position that if you don't produce and suceed fast, you'll catch criticism from all directions.

Plus, the team is sorta forcing a system on him that doesn't fit his style of play

as most of everyone has said..its because he is the quarterback...QB's are the "leader" of the team/offense so they win qb gets the praise..they lose qb gets the complaints...now it depends on how the qb acts as well...if he stands up and says its not my fault the everyone gets in a bigger uproar...if they try to put the blame on themselves it helps a lil but not much to alot of fans...ask big ben...poor guy has had the roughest of years this year...against the ravens he was sacked 9 times...maybe 2 or 3 were his fault..the rest was all on the offensive line..but did ben blame them? no way..he put the blame on himself...i admire him for that....

so its all just in the title of quarterback that gets the blame
