You need to clean really good and then bomb it with bug bombs. You will have to move out for about 4 days though.

Cockroaches will migrate. When you spray your house they most likely go to the garage or a shed or even the neighbors house if close enough. Try some 7seven on the yard when you spray the inside. Bag up all of the stuffed toys, pillows blankets and any thing else you can. Leave them badged for at least a month. Cockroaches also love to hide in appliances, they usually have food particles in them, such as a toaster or microwave. Try to bag these as well; if you cant bag them, like the fridge and stove, get a good house hold spray like Raid and spray every nook and cranny you can. Unplug them first.
Try to get your neighbors to spray at the same time you do that will also help.

Forget about Raid and other over-the-counter sprays. Get a one gallon pump sprayer at your garden center and then get Suspend SC concentrate. Mix and use according to directions. It is water-base, odorless, and leaves no residue. Use disposable latex gloves when handling. Thoroughly saturated areas, but mop up any excess with paper towels, then put them in a plastic grocery bag, and toss in the trash. Spray along baseboards, under sinks, behind toilets, around exterior doors and windows, and any potential entry point outside. Keep away from food preparation surfaces. Keep away from pets and children until it dries completely. Repeat every three months. In attics and crawlspaces where there is no moving air use Delta Dust (it's the same compound--Deltamethrin--in a microfine dust). Apply with a bulb duster (use latex gloves and a dust mask). Keep a paperclip handy to keep the duster from clogging. This should be effective for one year if left undisturbed (don't spray the Suspend SC in attics). This will also be effective for spiders, fleas, ants, and so forth. In two weeks or less your problem will be eliminated.

This can be difficult and a lot of work.
Cockroaches may be coming in from outside your house. In this case, you will have to find out where they come from and how to get rid of them there.
Roach traps are helpful.
You probably have to become skillful with the boric acid puff bottle. Boric acid is a roach powder (works on all bugs, actually) that is non-toxic to humans and all non-bugs. It comes in a plastic squeeze bottle with a nozzle, and you have to give it a squeeze so that a puff comes out, leaving a thin layer of powder on the surface you are treating. If it's too thick, they will go around it, but if they walk through it, it will damage their exoskeleton, and they will dry out and die.
You can also mix it with their favorite food, and they'll eat it. I've heard they like strained peas.
You have to puff this powder into all the corners and cracks and everywhere they go.
Roaches like the insides of electronic equipment like TVs, so keep this in mind.
And even if you kill them all, they may have left eggs, so keep alert.
Hope this helps. I hate those bugs too.

I read a while back that the same fumigent they use to kill termites can be used to fumigate for roaches (Sulfural floride). More or less the same process, they seal up the house and fill it with a poison gas for a day. It kills everything, including the eggs.
Barring that, you might go to this website and see what they have for the do it yourselfer. They have a lot of good advice and information as well as commercial grade chemicals. www.e-bug.com

I have tried Orkin in the past and they were really good. Or you could buy Raid Max Bombs the ones that last for three months. Bomb, clean after wards and use combat in all of your cabinets and closets. This should work I have 6 children and they tend to eat all over my house.... it worked for me so it should work for you.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk

sorry to hear about the things.Try getting sticky pads and put them all over the place. They will not be able to get away. This will reduce the amount you have but will not get rid of them completely. Unfortunately you will have to get the pro's in again, or move.
