yea. ive also noticed that the fast food industry's response to messing up your order is to make your already unhealthy foods larger sizes or to give you more for free. and to think they say they arent at least partially to blame on our society's obesity

I don't really notice. They seem small, but I never used to eat them like I do now. They're still quite a lot to handle sometimes, though. (Try eating one in your car! -- messy)
Maybe they wanted the Big Mac to be more of an everyday food so they made it smaller while keeping the prices the same. Prices would go up naturally because of inflation, but if they made the Mac smaller, they could charge the same price.
excerpt from Wikipedia...
"Many have applauded the fact that Big Macs have become smaller over the years as McDonald's has grown increasingly responsive to the demand for lighter and healthier fare. McDonalds enjoys slightly higher profits from smaller Big Macs with the same price, although there is no linear relation, as (fixed) labor cost accounts for the major part of a Big Mac's cost structure—which is why "Super Size Menus" are so attractive for fast food chains."

Because the truth is we keep buying them. If they can give you less and charge more, they have more product to sell (also at the higher price) and they come out with an even bigger profit. If we quit buying them the price will go up for a little bit (in an attempt to make up for the loss), but eventually the business will put it together and drop the price back to something reasonable.

Yea gurl I notice it. I mean it's ridiculous how much a burger cost these days. For them small burgers and for that price that they should give you two burgers instead of one. LOL

Well, considering how fat most Americans are this is probably a good thing. And fast food is dirt cheap anyway, it just makes us eat more and more. If they jacked the price up a little we might be a little healthier.

yes i think they are smaller. but, we americans eat way more than we should because restaurants were giving us our moneys worth. like you said now we pay more for less. the price went up because lower calorie food cost more for some reason.
