No it would not take longer, in fact in the real world that is how couples try to conceive, anyway as to too much sex, u are lacking some hormone in u because it is said that the more u have sex while u are pregnant the stronger and healthier the baby is.I would however stay away from lifting heavy objects if u think u are!

Picking up something that weighs more than 25 lbs is not good in the first trimester. The only way to get pregnant is to have sex around the time you ovulate, so you can keep having sex until the cows come home and not get pregnant if you don't do it at the right time.

If you are pregnant and you lift something heavy.....
Well, if you are like only a couple weeks pregnant, the baby is too small to really hurt! The baby is in a well padded tight space, hard to get to, and you cannot strain the baby by lifting anything heavy.....
But I would think after about 3 months you should avoid lifting heavy things.....
And sex is the only way to get pregnant.... I would keep up the sex! It won't hurt!
And try this... stick your legs in the air for a few minutes after having sex, to keep the stuff in there....
Worked for me twice :)

If you are trying to get pregnant here is a couple things my Dr. told me to do. Do not have sex for 3 to 4 days that will give his sperm time to build up. And if possible try 2 days before and 4 days after your period and when your body temp. in between 97.9 and 99.5that is the best time to conceive. And if you are pregnant I would not lift anything over 20lb because it could lead to miscarry. Good Luck and make sure that this is what you really want and if the guy really loves you and if he is going to stick around because as a mother of 2 I know you will need all the help you will need. And if you think you are pregnant get a apt. with a OB/GYN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Um...do you know how babies are made? For straight people, it's by having sex, the kind where the man ejaculates into the woman, usually.
It is safe to have sex, and to pick up the same kinds of heavy objects, in the early part of your pregnancy. After the first trimester (12-13 weeks), if you are worried about it, talk to your doctor.

Lifting items can have adverse affects on your fetus ifyou are indeed pregnant. It causes stress on the muscles that support your uterus, and 'could' lead to a miscarriage. However, I lifted the entire time I was pregnant with both of my sons (moving furniture and what not), and I became tired much more quickly. However, I was doing this very early in pregnancy (first month, before most people realize they are pregnant).
Having sex every night does not make it more difficult to have children. In fact, it may increase your chances of fertilization. Men produce a certain number of sperm per day. (The average sperm count is between 20million and 150million sperm per milliliter. And this is produced DAILY! It takes about 20 minutes for a man to replenish his...reserves (for lack of a better word).
And in case you are wondering, having sex while you are pregnant cannot hurt, injure, or otherwise indanger a developing fetus.
Best of luck you and yours. :o)

The more you have sex during the window of fertility the more likely you will become pregnant. If you are pregnant, sex poses no real threat to the baby.

nooooo, thats the way to get pregnant, especially if you are ovulating. And if you pick up something heavy you won't necessarily lose the baby. Just be careful, if you are concerned check with your Dr.

Having a lot of sex can deplete his sperm supply. If you are actively trying, you can have sex nightly, but best is every other night for optimal swimmers.
Lifting things will not make you have a miscarriage. But it's not a bad idea to take it easy when pg.
