I was a teenage mother I set myself up for it but I didnt plan it, being a teenage mother is hardwork, being an adult mother is hard work but talking from my experience only, i really didnt finish being a kid, I thought my life would be the same as before children if I wanted to go somewhere I thought I would just take my baby with me well that didnt happen very often, I did finish school, but my friends were always out having fun the way teenagers are suppose to not me i had to sit home with my baby, It does get easier, just try being a kid first, you will be glad you did, my baby just turned 18 on thanksgiving day, and I wouldnt have traded him for the world, but I would have waited a little longer, i have 3 more children also and it is tough at any age, but when you are older you enjoy it more good luck i hope this helps you

I think bashing teen parents isn't going to help the situation at all (I'm not saying that's what you are doing). Teen parents need support and encouragement. The majority might act like they know what they are doing, but inside they are terrified, their self-esteem is low. They do not need people judging them and staring at them.
I was a teen parent (19yrs old when I had twins). I had a wonderfully supportive family and I've done pretty well for myself. I graduated from college twice (took 2 separate programs), I live on my own, support myself, just bought a new car, my kids are healthy and involved in sports. Not all teen parents end up on welfare.

I'm a teen mom and am thrilled to be raising my daughter so young. No all teen moms are the typical stereotype. I graduated (not a GED) a year before I was supposed to, will be done with my BA before I'm 21, I've been married almost 2 years now, and will be buying a home shortly. Sometimes having to grow up sooner than your peers makes you more successful than most of them.

Having a baby is a wonderful thing. I think if any women is pregnant she should enjoy the gift of the child. But when I teen gets pregnant that means they will have to miss out on things in order to enjoy the gift of a child.

Well this is obviously not the idea. Marriage--love--commitment--a good career makes things much easier. A teen that does it on purpose? Shame on her!! She will live with that mistake--an accident? Then you deal with it. Always remember, when you play-be prepared to pay!!

I DONT HTINK THATS A GOOD IDEA FOR A TEEN TO GET PREGNANT AT A EARLY AGE....IM 25 AND I HAVE TWO KIDS. I DIDNT HAVE MY KIDS YOUNG BUT IM HAVING A VERY HARD TIME TRYIN TO RAISE MY KIDS ON MY OWN....TAKE IT FROM ME THOSE PEOPLE WHO SAID THAT THEY WAS GOIN TO B THERE FOR U WILL NOT B....I LOST ALL MY FRIENDS WHEN I GOT PREGNANT CAUSE NONE OF THEM HAD KIDS AND THEY FELT THAT I WAS GOIN TO HOLD THEM BACK FROM US GOING OUT TO HAVE FUN....THATS ANOTHER THING TOO ONCE U HAVE A CHILD ALL UR FUN TIME IS OVER U HAVE TO LIVE FOR UR KIDS NOT URSELF AND THATS WAT A LOT OF YOUNG TEENS DONT SEEM TO REALIZE ABOUT U CANT HAVE A KID AND EXPECT FOR PEOPL TO WATCH THEM WHILE U OUT HAVIN FUN ...THATS WAT A MOTHE RSUPPOSE TO DO FROM MY POINT OF VIEW.

I don't think its a bad thing as long as teens know what they are leting themselves in for.
I think teens can be as good as any parent
