My husband was picked up on a warrent from 04 with failure to appear for possision of weed. He now ownes his own bussisnes and is the main income for our famaily. What is going to probley happen on his court date on the 7th. And what can he tell the judge to keep him out of jail to take care of his family and his bussines

If it wasn't a large quanity he will just get probation. I would still get a lawyer though.

It all falls under the law for what ever state you live in. I live in California where the laws are slack. For a oz. or less its only a 50.00 dollar fine. Then if you have a medical card in some counties you can have up to 2 pounds and grow 12 plants. So It all falls on where you live.

Make sure he has a good attorney. It depends on the amount that he was caught with and legal record.
I have seen some get probation and or community service and then some get jail time.

GET A LAWYER

I think in NY, possession of weed is not a felony, but a misdemeanor.

How much weed...does he have a clean record otherwise. Sounds like it will probably be a misdameanor. Get a lawyer & thanks for the 2 points.

You need to get a lawyer ASAP, and his lawyer needs to show that he has changed his ways and that he is the sole provider for his family and request leniency.

You are the wife, so if push comes to shove, you have to step up and run the business. So get in there and learn it.
