Sometimes you have to try them more than once. Just because she spits it out or makes a funny face the first or second time doesn't mean she hates it--it just means she's not used to it.

My son is 10 months old now, and he went through the same things when he was about 7 or 8 months old. We started him on avocado, but he hated it. So we stopped. Next we tried some fruits. He liked bananas but didn't care for the apple. I think the apple was a little sour. The trick that we found that worked best was to dilute the flavor of whatever fruits and vegetables we gave him, by mixing it with rice cereal and milk/formula. Since he's so used to the formula, he did not reject the "other flavor" that much. Eventually we were able to reduce the mixture of rice cereal to zero, and feed him straight from the baby food jar/container.

you 7 month old may not be ready to eat solids. She may really enjoy the flavor of her formula, or breastmillk. You should try to feed her before you give her the bottle or the breast. She will be hungry, and may get the idea faster. Also have her sit at the table with the rest of the family when they eat so she can see everyone else eating. This may inspire her. You obviously have a very picky eater. Try mixing the formula with the jarred foods, this will make the taste more familiar to her. If she likes the blueberry, try mixing that with one other fruit. Does she eat bananas? You can use a fresh banana, that will taste better to her than the canned ones. Just mash it up and give it to her right away. She may not be ready to eat solids just yet, you may want to check with your Dr.

lol usually they say to start vegitables with babys because since breastmilk is sweet babies like the sweeter cereals and foods. So she is definalty going to loove blueberries. And actually blueberries are good for her they have antioxidants lol she already knows good beauty secrets!! She wants to stay young as possible!!

Anyways since she is still young and developeing her taste she is going to be very sensitive to the sourness or saltyness of foods, she only can regognize the sweet taste she gets from formula or breastmilk. For my son I started him out on sweat peas, they were still sweet to him but it was a vegitable. He loooved banannas. Also I found diffrent ways of mixing the fruits and veggies together to get him to like greenbeans. he hated green beans so i would mix I think it was peach or orange I dont remember. Just try them out yourself and mix a little bit of veggies into her blueberries she may not even know the diffrence.

Good Luck and dont get defeated, some babie are just pickier than others, as long as she is still drinking enough formula or breastmilk I would say you dont have to worry.

good think they dont make donut flavor babyfood... sorry that was a bit cheesy

Also every baby is diffrent, my son was such a pig that I had to actually start him on cereal at 3 months. My pediatrician said that he is ready when he is ready. and Like the people above some babies thrive on breast milk. I think 7 months is a great age to start solid foods.

Sometimes babies like toddlers get to where they just want to eat one thing.

You could give her different types of baby cereals for variety.

Her pediatrician might want her on an infant vitamin like polyvisol.

Let her have the blueberry for a while as then slowly introduce another taste like sweet potatoes. After a couple of weeks of the cereal, blueberry and new taste try another.

Or takeaway the blueberry and just give her cereal for a while and then introduce the sweet potatoes (sweet like blueberries but it is a veggie!!). I gave this as a "first veggie" to both of mine and they loved it.

Variety is nice, but as long as she is developing normally and getting the nutrition that is all that matters.

Your daughter does not need solids at 7 months- your Doctor will recommend what cereal to try . Did your Dr. tell you to feed her solids? I nursed my son & at 10 months my Dr. told me to try solid foods. After my son ( who is 33 now ) got past the rice cereal- his first bite of solid food was Gerber's " Blueberry Buckle"- he loved it, easy for him to digest & he loved it. Every month the Dr. would let me introduce new foods to him in tiny amounts to make sure he wasn't having any problems with the food- carrots were a problem. Good luck.

She only maybe likes that becouse you already introduced it to her and is sweet they like that. So she wont have anything else and if you keep going back to that she knows that she says no to veggies and you give her the bluberry. Try pices of bananas are some other foods that she can try or like boil potaoes make some mash potatoes and instead of the jar green beans make then natural boil then and she can grab that with her hand.

i'm unsure whilst they are meant to take a seat down up on their own yet i understand you may help them out. The boppy pillow i've got tried on my niece and it did no longer relatively artwork truthfully, the only factor that I enjoyed replaced into the Bumbo.. I used it particularly plenty honestly (i think of extra desirable than 2 months!) in case you do no longer opt to pay finished value from shops than look on Craigslist for a sturdy project one..only be certain you sparkling it up nicely previously use. Sorry if i could no longer be of any help yet i opt to propose the Bumbo in case you're hectic approximately your daughter no longer sitting up yet.

Even though she makes faces just keep on trying to get her to eat all of the baby food. This will develop into better eating habits when she's older.

milk is the most important thing you can give a kid. My son is 20 months old and he doesn't always eat. However we make sure we give him 3 sippy cups of milk a day. As long as she drinks milk she will be fine. However make the food available to her. Just give it to her if she eats it then she does. If she doesn't eat it then oh well. You really are helpless when it comes to this sort of thing. It's not that she doesn't want to eat it is beacuse she doesn't like the taste so there really isn't much you can do except give her plenty of milk and make food available to her.

my son is 2 and he still eats like that. he only likes the fruit. he is taking speech therapy for it because they think he has a swallowing problem, can't swallow solid foods. Don't push her to eat, she will when she's ready. her little mouth and belly might not like the texture and taste of what u are trying to give her. just give it time and if she is still that way, talk to her pediatrician about her eating habits. hope that helps.
