I am willing to bet my whole life's earnings (and even all future earnings) that he will not win.

in case you do no longer care what he's, why did you ask this question? isn't "bringing it up" right here only playing into the race situation? It would not sound such as you "do no longer care." usa has continually been a usa obsessed with race... i do no longer understand how Obama sees himself, regardless of the undeniable fact that it is glaring how our society does. playstation - His call is Barack Hussein Obama, in that order. and that i'm surprised at people who circulate on approximately his attending a "Church of Christ" for two decades and nevertheless insist he's a Muslim!

Barack Obama is my Senator. I didn't vote for him and on most issues I do not agree with him politically. However, he is a breath of fresh air on the Illinois political scene. He is polite, presents his opinions in a logical way rather than in emotional rants like so many people in his party and he is considerably more intelligent and thoughtful than many of the leaders of his party in Congress. I hope that like Churchill, he will become more conservative with age, but will retain his concern for the people whom he represents. He might make a good president. Time will tell.
His background is quite interesting. The link below provides some biographical information.

He can indeed, but I don't think it will be in 2008. So far I think Obama is really an interesting and enlightened politician, but I do think he needs more political experience. I think most Americans are smarter than to vote against someone because of his middle name, and hopefully we have progressed enough that his race won't be an issue to the majority. I am hoping for a Clinton/Obama ticket for 2008, but then again he may be too valuable to waste on a Vice Presidency.

It depends on how far the US has come as a nation, which in my opinion is not very far. A country still so deeply divided along the racial line, immigration issues, gender issues and such things that should be considered minor, have not gone very far.
But hey, I love surprises, so I like the rest of the world will watch to see how nasty it will get in 08.

Barack would be an amazing president. He's very truly a uniter, and a lot of Republicans that I know even like him. His is so eloquent and intelligent. I really hope he runs in 08. I think he has a great chance of winning. He certainly has the name recognition - he's practically the rock star of the Democrats!

Well my question to you is does it matter that is mother was not black? I actually think that he has a chance in the future but needs to watch his steps. He's smart and personable and the short time in office isn't much worse than some short term governors that have become President.

He's unqualified. A 2-term state congressman and then a brand-spanking new senator?
What executive experience does he have?
No. Now if you want to talk blacks with qualifications, you have to talk Condi Rice.
