The Guerilla Marketing books are great for out of the box ideas. They have many different ones now for several marketing arenas. The basic Guerilla Marketing book is a good place to start. The books are by Jay Conrad Levinson.

First you've got to know what you want to say, then you can think about saying it in a way that's fresh and interesting.
So what is special or unique or interesting about your insurance business that isn't so common in other insurance providers. Why should I go to you instead of the other guy? Figure that out and state it as childishly or boring as necessary just to get the general direction of your ad figured out first. You also might want to write info about your target audience too.
Your next step is to create what many of us call a "hell room" that is dig out as many insurance ads as possible and post them up all over a room. It won't take long before you see lots of cliches and overdone ideas and imagery.
With those in mind and your direction figured out, then write that boring sentence in as many ways as possible.
Somehow in this process at some point Eureka hits. I can't guarantee when or how, so keep a pen and little writing pad with you at all times just in case it hits at some odd time of the day.
Good luck!
