I was wondering if I could use my kyocera k404 cellphone on a verizon plan to get free internet access without using airtime minutes or burying a data plan.

If you're talking about using your phone to access Mobile Web (surfing, downloading applications), try to do it during your unlimited nights/weekends period when it won't cost you anything.

If you're talking about using your phone as a modem, you may end up having to sign up for one of the PDA/smartphone packages. Not sure, though.
