My capped rate for my combined gas and electricity with Scottish Power is coming to an end in December. Is it worth paying the extra to have then capped till 2010 or are prices going to come down? Any opinions welcome, thanks

Do you seriously think anything is going to come down?

At best they will stay as is but my guess is that the companies will find any excuse for them to go up!

My gut feeling is no way will prices come down unless the government force them to bring the price down. Can you see this spineless government with its cap in hand and begging bowl out doing that to a potential contributor to its funds?
