No, water is not a nutrient, it usually just serves as a proton donor or as a proton acceptor in chemical reactions.

Water is considered a nutrient. It is needed by the body. It does bring minerals to the body . You do get water from foods such as fruits. Other liquids also give the body water. Be careful not to try to consume the water that you need using soda or Koolaid or sweet tea, because all that sugar is not needed. These are called empty calories.
