DVD titles that feature the widescreen format, present the film in the aspect ratio as shown in theaters. Theatrical Version is not describing the size of the picture like Widescreen, it means it is the exact version that was shown in theaters.

The theatrical version does not play any extended parts - it's identical to what played in theaters.

Wide screen will give you the wider view(black on top and bottom of movie) Theater should fill the screen
