Well it wasnt quiet internet dating but more faith i reckon. But here is my story lol. I had just come home (ireland) from oz and was on the internet when i said to my brother give me a good site to meet some ppl. Not for anything in particular just to chat. He gave me faceparty.com. From there i clicked on Brazil. Well the woman standing beside could finish the rest of the story but lets just say i am in Brazil writing this :D Love you Raquel xxxxxx

I used internet dating after my marrage failed & went out with loads of girls - it was great!
I met one about 3 years ago & we're still together, bought a house, a dog & having a baby in January!!! (getting re-married next year)
So I would say "I have successfully found a partner through internet dating" - Yes it does work!

I dare say millions have at this point...many ar just for sexual hookups but others have found true love. It's not really much different than meeting someone at a store, or whatever.
Just be careful and meet in public for the first time. The one thing i have found is people tend to lie...either about there age, or weight, or anything else...but those are usually the ones just looking for hookups. I've been with someone for 2 years I met on a dating website, although he is still always looking and i have caught him repeatedly meeting other people...he claims there was never any sex though, but I've also learned he is a liar and can't wait to get rid of him, which is sometimes harder than you think, especially when they are living in your home.

I met my partner on a site called Girls Date For Free. We started chatting in January of this year (2006) and met for the 1st time in April as we lived on opposite sides of the country.
We visited each other's homes a number of times after that, and now we have a flat together. We've never been happier.

I met my husband online 4 and a half years ago, and we've been living together since 2002, and married since August.
I wasn't looking for him or using a dating website, we just ran across each other in an IRC chatroom and hit it off as friends. It developed from there.
I think, personally, that when you quit "looking" and just concentrate on being happy with yourself you'll meet someone better for you.

I have!! I met my fiance through a dating site and we totally hit it off, we've definitely had our troubles but we are getting married in February and i couldn't imagine life without him. We were so fortunate to get to know each other through communication not pure animal lust (altho that DID come along very shortly after meeting ;)
Before i met him i was a skeptic, now i sing its praises!!

A friend of mine met his wife though Match.com. Its not always full of idiots, sometimes just people who are shy or don't have time to go out to meet someone. Also people who are too shy to approach someone in the real world.
Good luck and be careful, their are also some freaks on-line too.
