Is it normal to experience small aches and pains in the chest area?

I am 31 years old. I smoked for about 15 years but quit about a year ago. I eat a lot of greasy food, but I am not fat. Don't tell me to go see a doctor, I can't afford it. Just tell me if it's normal or if I should be worried.

there are many things that can cause small aches and pains in the chest area. i smoke a pack a day and have had my heart etc checked and everything is ok. i however have a hiatus hernia, which can usually cause aches and pains, if i eat poorly, or if i lay down after i eat. it however is usually accompanied by indigestion. lifting heavy things improperly can also cause some muscle pain, in the chest area if the pain is constant and nagging, then i would worry. seeing doctor is still your best defense, although i know u cant afford it. if the problem persists perhaps there is a free clinic in your area. hope this helps your problem. i would love to say don't worry, and it may be nothing to worry about, but i am not in a situation to diagnose. u could also try the Internet health sites to give you more help. u could start with digestive, heart disorders.

It is not normal, and you should seek medical attention immediately.if you can't afford to see a doctor ,then I hate to be as blunt as I'm about to be "you can die" if whatever causing aches and pains turns out to be fatal. " SEE A DOCTOR SOON"
