There are all kinds of ways to help improve memory.
The trick is making it interesting so the 12 year old will stay focused. My brother and I invented a
game that we played in the morning when we were eating breakfast. We would each chose a side of a
cereal box and memorize it for a few minutes then
turn the box around and ask each other questions.
We would keep track of how many correct answers
we got. Use picture cards turned over and make
matches. Studying is the same way. Review the
material over and over until the material becomes learned. That is the best way to do it. You can help
by asking her/him questions after she/he has studied for a while.
