If you want to stay in Atlanta Down Town, try Marriott Grand Marquee or the Ritz.
Buck Head is not as good as once thought. Lennox is better, martini sushi bars are plentiful. Try staying near the ESPN ZONE.
North GA try Red top Mountain for Camping and Canoeing.
East GA go for Savannah for the historic town and charm.
If you are a golfer, try to stay in Alpharetta near Country Club of the South. Great neighborhoods in that area. Drive by the pink mansion. It's massive.
