Well, first off--congratulations on your new little baby!!!! My advice: try to find out if you qualify for either HIPAA or Medicare. If either applies, you will qualify for insurance in that way. If neither applies, then try TANIF or WIC. The best way to find out if you qualify for any or all of these is your local Social Services department--call and make an appointment to find out. Good luck and God bless you and your little one!

Try to go for Medicaid or Badgercare or whatever your Medical Assisstance program is for your state. Just go to your county human resources center or workforce development center and apply for anything you can. This program is great if you don't make much money. It helps a ton!

I didn't have ins. when i got pregnant. I went to a local helth clinic and automatically they give you medicaid to get you through your pregnancy. Pays EVERYTHING untill your 6 mo visit after you deliver. Then after that they discontinue the ins. for you and keep it on your baby. This is in Mi. you should look it uo at your local health Dept.

You need to apply for Medicaid. I don't think they can refuse you unless you are making big bucks.
