A properly done popcorn ceiling should have a thin "moulding "
applied all around perimeter of room to provide a straight edge
for painting walls
Usually a thin rectangular shape approx 1/2" X 1/4" .
If you do'nt have it you can mask the wall just below the textured ceiling & paint it the same color

Steady hand, good brush, and patience. Oh and they make those edger tools that you can hold up to the corner and paint.

tape the wall part off with "painters tape" and this will solve ur problem....
