My daughter is 2 1/2 mons. i went to my 6 wk check up and i spotted for two days after that and then i started taking the pill and i spotted a few more times and then last wk. i started spotting for two days and then i actually started my period and it has last about a wk. and i have also passed two big blood clots. I am worried this isnt normal. i have never taken birth control pills before and my period was always regular. now its kinda crazy. please help!!

Your body does crazy things after having a baby. I bled for several months after my first c-section and then stopped and didn't get a period for several months til they jump started me with medication. This time I bled for 4 weeks, then stopped for 2 then got a period again. Weird stuff. Just hang in there and if the bleeding continues for more than 2 weeks call your Dr. Starting on birthcontrol can also mess it all up so just be patient and things will start to even out in the next couple months.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. My daughter is also 2 1/2 months old and I had a very very heavy period at around 7 weeks after I gave birth while I was on birth control. I was bleeding through a super absorbancy tampon ever 2-3 hours but after a week or so it went away. I think it was just time for my body to have my period. As for the blood clots I think I would call my doctor just to make sure everything is ok. I really don't think that is normal.

Yes, because think about it you did not have a period for 9mo or so. Your body needs to get rid of this that has been there so long. It will because regular in a few days, don't worry. I went through this too.
