what is the definition of a civil war and why are we afraid to admit there is on in Iraq?

300,000 people have died in Iraq this month alone.. how can so much sense less killing be okay?

A civil war is when factions fight for control of the government. Iraq isn't in a civil war because outside forces (Taliban, Al Queeda, Hammas, Iran) are instigating all of the turmoil. Wipe Iran's pres. off the face of the earth and there will be more peace.

By the above definition anyone who doesn't admit there is civil war in Iraq is a blind fool. Bush is being deliberately disingenuous. He has a habit of that because he is incapable of admitting when he's wrong. A frightening trait in a President.

I call it a civil war, since it's two different factions in the same country that's fighting each other. As for why president Bush and others are afraid to call it a civil war? I feel no one but them can answer that question.
