Yes they do if there is an HR Rep available. I wouldn't recommend that though, especially during the holidays. I would recommend getting an appoitment with someone and actually taking the time to get to know someone. Usually on the spot means that...on the spot. I had one literally pretty much in line, right after I filled out an application after I got done in line. It was noisy and I know the HR rep was looking and paying attention to other things. See if they can make an appoitment with you right then and there instead of an on the spot interview, you'd probably have a better chance at getting the job. Good luck!

I believe so . but they called me in to do an interview because there was no HR available to interview me at the present time.

At the one near me, you apply through a computer terminal in the store and I guess they call you if they want to interview you. I've never done it.

No. You should really find out who the HR person's name is or else the operator will never put you through. Say they ASKED for you to call. Keep on them.
