lol , well in DC/NOVA . i can see why , so many kids getting out of the clubs , going to breakfast an trying to "Dine & Ditch" .. it's safety for them .. stupid yes , but safety for there business.

During college i'd work as a waiter on the third shift on weekends. We'd have people who would go out of their way to get out of paying for their food.
Nothing ever worked because we had a security guard and cameras in the parking lot if anyone ditched we'd get their car tag and report it to the police who would then file a writ of trespass so if they came in again and we could id them they'd be arrested just for being there.

I believe that SHOWING the ID is all that is required, not turning it in.
There are too many people out there that want to stuff their bellies and then walk out without paying for their food.
Therefore, showing the ID is not a problem with me and shouldn't be for the honest.
