Personally I like just plain acoustic guitar instrumentals, like one of John Fahey's Christmas albums. It makes pleasant background music for a party.
Have you considered checking at the library? They should have quite a few Christmas CDs. That way you could get some different things, and not worry too much if it turns out you don't like them (since you didn't pay for them). Of course they tend to be checked out this time of year, but I was just looking for one myself and they had the exact one I wanted checked in.

You can not go wrong with Clay Aiken's Christmas CDs, both Merry Christmas With Love and his new release All Is Well. The music is beautiful, pure and relaxing. He has a mix of traditional religious songs as well as fun songs.
