When I was younger, I used to send them out the weekend after Thanksgiving. I try to send them out the first week of Dec. If I wait any later than that, I'll forget to do so.

I usually send them about a week before Christmas too. I want people to receive them just in time for Christmas.

A few years ago, I realized that I was sending the same people "Thank You" cards a couple of weeks after sending Christmas cards.
Now I just wait and send Happy New Year/Thank You cards a couple of days after Christmas. I would rather thank people for gifts AND wish them a happy holiday at the same time.

I'll probably start some time next week. I'm waiting for the Christmas portraits of my son to be ready so that I can send them with the cards.

i buy or make them the week before thanksgiving
i get them ready the day after thanksgiving
i put them in my mailbox to be picked up by the postal carrier december 1st
you are waiting too long, most people only shop once a week and if they need to buy cards, because GOD FORBID, because they don't like to send out cards but do because you send them one, they won't have enough time.

Oh yeah - I have to get that out soon. We try to send them the second weekend of December. Otherwise the horrible mind blowing guilt sets in. LOL

I always send my cards out December 1st so that people know that I am thinking about them...well, to be honest, I want to get them mailed out early enough so that people make sure they remember to send me one! I love to receive Christmas cards!

The Post Office recommends sending them within the first week of Dec to make sure they arrive on time.
