i had sex after nikhaah but before rukhsati...did i do the right thing? i feel that i did...but when i think about my family and up bringing i get depressed. i also feel that one day may be 10 years down the line he will say to me i was a bad character girl...but i have trusted him and taken this step...is their anything wrong in trusting ur husband thatn ur family?

as far as it goes
nikaa is the marriage
from then on u guys are legally married in the eyes of god
rukhsati is just a ceremony, a formality
more cultural than religious
so what u did is not wrong

So...essentially you had sex after the appetizer but before the breath mint, right? If you are going to have sex- and more importantly ever enjoy it then you will need to forget the concept of guilt. We have already been forgiven for our inherit stupidity since we are by design flawed.

well dear it would have been better if you have controlled your emotions. But don't worry now after it has happened. After nikah you were leagally and religiously husband and wife so no harm in that.
I do hope he is not that conservative to pinch you for this in future, as he is also part of all this.

islamically, you did nothing wrong as nikkah legalises sex. So you havent committed a sin! Culturally, you have to wait for the rukhsati... who cares about culture...!!!
he wont think anything bad, if he understands religon that is! he will know that it was ok for you to do that and respect you that you waited for the nikkah,
