Its called Couvade Syndrome
Couvade comes from the french word couvee meaning "to hatch". It has come to mean a man having a "sympathetic pregnancy.this means that your partner could start to vomit, gain weight, and have many of the "joys" associated with pregnancy.
Generally, couvade syndrome begins in the end of the first trimester and increases in severity until the third trimester. The only known cure for couvade is -- birth.

Yes, it's called Sympathetic Pregnancy - the man gets just about all the same symptoms around the same time as the woman does. It's an unexplained phenomenon.

Neither my wife or I had any kind of a "sickness" while she was pregnant but I sure did gain about 20-25 lbs during that time. It is perfectly explainable. Pregnant women tend to take many naps during the day and a man is usually there to comfort her. Well, staying at home, eating while you're bored and not moving as much makes you gain weight.
As you can see, there is no magical reason why men go thru their "pregnancy symptoms".

Hi! I am 39 weeks pregnant, and for my first trimester I had REALLY "all day" (not just morning....) nausea and sickness. Strangely enough a few times so did Daddy, and he's not the type to have a weak stomach. He also was very tired the first trimester and not even kidding, he ate a ton of pickles. ( I don't think the pickles was really a side effect of the so called "sympathy pains" a man gets when his partner is pregnant.... but I think it just gave him an excuse to eat a ton of pickles lol) Maybe it was all in his head, but he did say he felt different when I first became pregnant.

I have heard this to be true. That the man can be so in touch with the way that the pregnant woman is, that he can actually feel the pain that she is in. I have heard of a guy who was having all the same sicknesses that his wife was having. If she was having morning sickness, so was he. She had back pain and cramps, he was too.

Yes, actually it is. My daughter is preg and all the men in her house [her cousin and father] are having her symptoms for her!
Another interesting story. When I was preg with my son my best friend was about 200 miles away from me. While I was in the hospital giving birth she was also in the hospital 200 miles away with incredible stomach pains. We compared the times and she was having pains at the same time I was having the baby and they 'magically' stopped at the same time the baby was born. Now, that's weird!!

Yes, it's sympathy pains... they can have craving, weight gain, nausea, and many of the same symptons you have. My boyfriend did in the beginning of my pregnancy but they wore off, except for the weight. Good Luck!!
