The board is 96 inches long. Two pieces removed of 12 3/4 add up to 25 1/2 inches. The two kerfs add up to 1/4 inch.

So the part removed is 25 3/4 which taken from 96 is 70 1/4 inches.

To express that as 12"/foot you get 5'10 1/4"

70 1/4 inches remain (96 inches - 12 3/4 inches - 12 3/4 inches - 1/8 inch for first cut - 1/8 inch for second cut)

Answer is 5' 10 and 1/4 "

Since 2 x 12 & 3/4" =25.5" plus 2 x 1/8" (saw cut) = 25.5 + 1/4" = 25.75" = 2 ft 1.75" taken away from 8 ft = 5ft 10.25"

2 x 12 3/4" = 25 1/2"

8' = 96"

96 - 251/2 ( 25.5) = 70.5 or 70 1/2"
