Practically everything, from the cleaners used to disinfect the floor to the detergent used to wash the bedding. The different meds present inthe hospital can be hazardous as well.

if you know any med students you'd see that part of their learning process is chemistry. chemistry is used a lot in research labs and DNA work.

apart from that there are many reasons to use chemicals in the hospital like anywhere else starting with cleaning.
