If your lucky you should be able to remove the ignition Switch which on most motorcycles has the steering lock built in. With that removed you can move the bike, then that the switch assembly to your local Dealer and they should be able to make you a new key. Or at least get you a new Ignition switch. However your other locks on the bike will need to be replaced as well, ie helmet lock, seat lock and fuel tank cap. Your best bet is having a new key made. Police won't help with that.

P.S. There are WAY more that 12 keys made for each bike model the 996 guy is wrong!

Bolt cutters.. Buy the biggest ones you can find otherwise you'll need to be very strong.. Like cutters a metre long i'm talking.. Best tip though, try to keep the packaging good then take them back to the shop afterwards and say you bought the wrong thing :-)

Take the VIN number and proof of ownership to the dealer. A new cylinder is fairly inexpensive and comes with two new keys. You may even get lucky, there are usually only 12 or so keys made for every bike so the new keys may fit the old cylinder.

Try taking your logbook to a main dealer. They should be able to produce a new key from the details. It won't be cheap, but probably still less expensive than a locksmith,.

If ya need to move it in the meantime slip a skate board under the front wheel and have a mate help you.

This is also how theiving little scroats pinch unchained bikes.

Don't worry tho' if the plod see you they'll probably just wave anyway.
