You could try changing it manually and see what happens. Click Start, Run..., type "regedit" and click Ok.

In the left pane, go to the top of the folders list and browse through the following subfolders:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Internet Explorer\ Main

Once you have clicked the Main subfolder, look in the right pane and find the entry labelled "Start Page". Double-click it. You should see your current homepage. Change it and click Ok. Exit Regedit.

Disclaimer: You can do bad stuff to windows with regedit. Do not change anything other than that "Start Page" value.

If it does not let you run Regedit, or if it does not let you change the "Start Page" value, then you probably do not have administrator priviledges on the computer. You will have to get admin priviledges.

If you successfully change the Start Page value, but it changes back, I recommend running a spyware/adware/virus scan on your PC immediately.

Either you have a hijacker/spyware or most commenly you have a program such as spy bot or other spyware prevention program blocking it to prevent it from being changed.. if so.. go to that program and turn it off.. change it and then turn it back on.. good luck and let me know how it goes

Download Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. Run it, and remove the files it wants you to,
Don't download programs Like Limewire, (which share music files)

Make sure you keep updated on your virus protection.
It is spyware that is making your comp do this.
