Did you know it was coming soon or did it just happen all of a sudden?

I went into labor on a Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. I knew I was going to have my baby that day. I got up feeling very calm and took a shower and pulled my hair back as much as possible and made sure my bag was packed. By noon, I called the doctor and went to the hospital. At 11:56 that night my baby boy was born. That was 13 years ago, but I remember feeling calm, confident and secure, all feelings I thought I would never have with all the worries of a pregnant mother. My mom said the night before I was unusually quiet and I remember my back huriting just a little bit. It was the best day of my life!

I had my regular check-up that afternoon and my doc said, Nope, its gonna be a few days.. I felt nothing different. I was on the phone with a friend and I noticed it was wet everywhere...water broke. Then I started to feel a LITTLE cramping. I jumped in the shower, shaved my legs and off we went. I made my husband stop and grab me a burger on the way too cuz I knew they were not going to let me have ANYTHING to eat til after the baby came. So glad I did!! Good luck!

Took me by surprise, but 20 hours and 20 minutes after I woke with backache, I was holding my daughter :)

The nesting instinct thing that everone talks about missed me out!

no signs prior to labour. just got the contractions one night, called the dr., he said it might just be "braxton hicks" (false labour!) and said he would see me in the morning! went to the hospital and he casually tells me then, that I am having the baby! he forgot braxton hicks in a hurry then!

I had intermittant contractions (not painful) for several days before giving birth.
