The best thing to do is find out when you in fact ovulate, The myth is that you count 14 days from the first day of your period and there you have it you ovulate. Unfortunatly it is not that easy, Among other things stress is one of the main factors that may reroute ovulation to come at a later time. One of the best things to do may be get an ovulation kit and keep close eye on your periods, How long they last and then the time inbetween. Youll get the hang of it and it will be super worth it when you get pregnant. Dont be worried if this takes a while most couples take at least 3-6 months to concieve so dont worry about being infertile just relax and enjoy this time! One thing also to remember is that we women have a 20% chance per month and 25% chance when making love everyday. You may not think that this is a strong chance But it will happpen when it is supposed to happen. ONe of the most important things when trying for a baby is to get on prenantal vitamins cause they will get your body ready to carry the baby. Dont smoke and it would be a good idea to stop drinking alcohol now for you and your partner. Studies have show that If the partner drinks that it may cause low sperm counts and even learning dissabilities. So good luck! ONE MORE THING First response is not the best pregnancy test the best, most sensative and the best value, is the really cheap 1$ ones at the dollar store. The reason is that pregnacy tests are like high priced soda. THey both taste the same and probably have the same ingredients. Look at peeonastick.com for the results of pregnacy test s and they go indepth on what to use and what not to use

During your period is the least likely time to become pregnant as this is the unfertilized egg naturally got rid of, the best time is at ovulation generally half way point of your period, say 30 day cycle best time days 13-15 from start of period at this time you may have slight abdominal cramp and a discharge the consistency of egg white. Good luck in your quest relax and enjoy it don't make it a mission:o)

there are lots of books (check 'fertility' on Amazon) which may be able to help - anything that will help you recognise when you do ovulate will help - taking your temperature each morning etc. Most people with an average 28 day cycle ovulate 14 days after the start of their period. Get a good book.
