I think I would be at peace 24/7. Would not have to worry about a thing. Won't have to always be worried about people stereotyping me and saying all we do is whine and complain. I could travel anywhere! I could go to places and not worry about the blacks stigma. People would see me as a man, not as a "Black male". Then I could do things to black people then say stuff like this: "Black people whine about so many black men being in prison,...( they put themselves there by doing the crime) ,.....they whine about education,....(yet I don't know of one college that has a white college fund)." I can be totally indifferent just like the person that posted that and not worry about anything!

All I wanted in life was just peace, the only way I am going to find peace is through death. I don't even want to goto heaven or hell. Just let me be peaceful and nonexistent.

Of course you know that if you were white, you would still be human and would still find things to be miserable about, still find injustices, still find excuses, still find people to blame for what is not working in your life.

I'm not discrediting any of your complaints actually, I would probably wonder the same thing if I was black, dealing with the societally imposed heaviness and heartbreak of being black. But the truth is, you only know what you know. If you were born purple in a field of orange daisies you would consider anything that interupted, interfered with, or otherwise disturbed your purple and orange daisy world as a terrible and unjust thing.

White people don't get everything easy or handed to them either. Bad things happen to white people too, including disease, cruelty, injustice, violence and racism. The difference is that it isn't built into the very fabric of our society to hold whites down as it is for blacks. The societal infrastructure was built by white people to support white people and overlook black people.

I honestly believe that most white people have no real awareness of the advantages they experience day by day compared to the disadvantages of being black in this society day by day. Why would they? They have no framework to compare it to, only the white world they grew up in. They really have no clue how black people are beaten back and dismissed in this society.

As a white woman I work hard to wake my fellow whites up to the fact that we will never get beyond our current black/white tensions by guiltily avoiding what we don't want to see--that we need to start listening to and acknowledging the realities of being black in this country, to understand that white people have for the most remained willfully ignorant of this and to keep the growth and dialog going.

Unfortunately, people like me are not that typical, white or black. And as much as black people never want to hear this, if you want to help wake white folks up, you have to be willing to patiently educate them. Yeah, I know, its not your job and you're sick of it. But it's going to take both of us to make it happen, friend.

Personally, I think there should be more interracial marriages and relationships. Nothing brings these realities home faster than loving someone and taking their problems on as your own. It becomes very personal then, especially if your biracial kid is experiencing racism...then you really get it. I would have considered myself absolutely non racist until I fell in love with my husband, who is black. Then I had to start coming to grips with the subtler types of racism I had no idea had been put in me. I've learned a lot.

No, you wouldn't be at peace 24/7.

Every race (including Caucasian) has it's stigmas and stereotypes. It's sad but true. The only thing we can do is continue to try and educate people. Open up their eyes, minds and hearts.

Whites are no more at peace than others. We all have our worries. I understand being a minority and being stereotyped. I lived in Asia for six years. I'd imagine it's more difficult in the country you were born in. It is wrong of us to stereotype blacks as we do, but there are those black political speakers that do it to you as well. I've been in various places where people naturally segregate themselves by race or sex or whatever. It's very funny to watch. I think it would be easier to not stereotype or be racist if blacks did not contribute to their own problem by having black only schools, tv, college funds, etc. I'm not saying all are at fault, but they do contribute to the problem.

Ya, you probably would be... i have Black friends from Botswanna and south Africa. A few of them have being to the USA.. They were horrified when they went there about the black culture of some.. some Blacks in the USA have fallen into a sterotypical persona.. its easy to do. !!!(if everybody thinks us black men are gangsters why not be gangsters!!) think of the irish paddy and alcohol...
get out of this sterotype and try and be like yourself... Maybe some of your black friends might say to you "hey you are a white man in a black mans skin".. but who cares as long as you are yourself.. and the only ways perception of black males will change is if they change themselves and become better than the people who are critizing them.... ( it only takes a few bad apples to turn the rest of the barrel bad)..

Friend, the way to have peace in your heart is to know the Peace that passes all understanding and that is Jesus Christ. When you understand that you were made in the image of God, a special creation and that God loves you more than you can even fathom, you begin to see yourself differently. I'm white but there are things about my life and my looks that I'd like to change. As a child of God, I understand He made me a certain way for a reason and that is to reflect His glory. He only looks at your heart, not your outward appearance. You can have that peace you are looking for through a relationship with your Creator. He's waiting for you to come to Him. Ask your heavenly Father to show you who He made you to be. You are a precious, special creation that He designed with a purpose in life. I truly hope you find that peace because when you do the rest of the things you worry about won't matter any more. You can be free from all that has you captive and have complete freedom in Christ.

Nope. I am a white female, but I can tell you that I am just a peaceful as I have a mind to be and you can be too.

Many of us (all races, creeds, what-have-you) face some type of stereotyping in our lives (You, for instance, think that being white brings a more peaceful life! I say ha, ha, ha!)

As Ghandi said, " Be the change you wish to see in the world."

I dont think that your life would be more peaceful you may have more opportunities in life. But from what I see is they are human as well and I dont think that white people are all that happy. they have the highest sucide rate. They go shooting up schools and they are the race that kills there parents the most. So like any other race they have problems to. you can get ahead as a black man but you have to work twice as hard as white people and you have to be the best at what you do. I know its hard but we cant paint our skin and to pretend to be something that we arent.we are who we are

Not really, not matter what race you are people will always hate you, there would be black people that hate you because you are white, and whatever.. but i guess life might be easier in that you wouldnt have as many bad stereotypes.

incorrect actuality a million: mongolian invaded total europe and succeeded. examine historic previous e book. you recognize it incorrect. through early 1242, at the same time as Batu considered to bypass even farther into Europe, he devoid of note received information from Mongolia that the entire Khan Ogedei had died. This information change into substantial. Batu's issue change into the prospect of his in my opinion disfavored Guyuk Khan receiving the call of serious Khan. because Batu had conquered a lot land, the political instability in Mongolia might want to grant worry. He wanting to go back to Russia and politically set up his area names to stay away from any worry. as a effect, the Mongol military totally withdrew from Poland and Hungary. each and every thing east of Hungary hardly constitutes "total europe." incorrect actuality 2: how can roman eupire that did not even exist for the time of mogolian era shield mongolian??? The Roman Empire, or a minimum of the jap Roman Empire (which historians have renamed the Byzantine Empire) stood until eventually 1453. study this to the splitting of the Mongolain Empire in 1294. ignorant -.-
