you should venture in this field for career only if you are academically qualified in Music from some University or done Visharad, Ratna etc...

The only way to get noticed by a record company is to get out there as much as possible. Audition for American Idol or Rockstar or something. It's a waste of time to go sit on the doorstep of each record label - most of them will have you tossed immediately, since they have rules about accepting unsolicted material. (They don't accept anything they don't directly ask for.)

you should audition for tv talent shows and sing as much as possible. this way, people will hear you. many singers are discovered off programs or even just in day to day life. you never know who is in the audience, wo keep singing!

Bombard them with demo tapes or you gotta know somebody to get your foot in the door. It's a hard thing to do. Good Luck!

Try sending it to the radio station to promote your album that's how I got started. still tring to get to the top it takes time but its a start.

Is it your friends and family who say you sound good? Get some strangers to listen and see what they think. Then you'll get true opinions as to whether you are any good.

nowadays you have lot of shows in tv channels....you can try in any of them.if you ar a student you can actively take part in your culturals....take part in all kinds of singing competitons either in tv or fm...do all steps to make others know how talented you are... you will surely be recognised..have hopes..good luck.
