I think my vote is important for the following reasons,
1.) if you do not vote you do not have any right to biatch if something happens that you disapprove of.
2.) If you vote you are raising your voice to be heard, even if your party, or candidate loses, if they get enough votes and it is close that politicians that get elected have got to listen, if they don't they know that they could be voted out the next time.
3.) It is your duty to vote, if people stay home because it don't think it matters then it don't. And the people that are elected to represent us take this as a sign that it doesn't matter what they do and will do as they please and that is not proper representation.
I have voted in every congressional and presidential election since 1968 and I have never been sorry. I have been sorry that I have helped to elect somebody that turned out to be not so good. But here comes another election to fix it. You will never regret voting as much as you might regret not voting.

it is important to put some effort into the fate of your own nation. if you vote you can influence who gets elected and choose someone who stands by a lot of the things you feel are important. If you don't vote you are letting other people make decisions for you. The benefit of voting is that you can change the course of your countries initiatives, you can get an official who will accomplish the tasks you want to see. If you don't vote then who knows who you will end up with running your country or what they will do in office. Vote =protect your own a**, intrests, and getting your voice heard

It is beneficial NOT to vote. So, whatever the current government and the opposing party are doing, you can ***** about everything. When you vote, it means you are supporting their actions in that term, and boy, it's hard to feel responsible for things your government does.
